What a hair raising emergency and a proven formula for success have inspired me to do…

on December 2nd, 2005

I said in my last post that I had some interesting things coming up this week (and I do next Wednesday as you’ll discover in a minute)… and then you didn’t hear anything more from me.

After the response I got from my last post on ‘focus’ you’d think I’d focus on following up on that promise, right?

Well, as it turned out, what consumed all my focus this week was a surprise surgery for my 2 year old son, Hayden. On what seemed like any other evening, I got him ready for his bath and then suddenly he started screaming as Aimee lowered him in the water.

Geez, the water wasn’t THAT hot and I knew it because we always check first.

It turned out (to make a long and crazy story shorter) that he had a hernia and a whole lot of pain in his groin area. I’ll spare you the details but suffice it to say that he went into surgery at 2:30am and we got to ’sleep’ at around 5:30am that morning once he was out and resting.

That was the second time my wife and I sat in the surgery waiting room pacing back and forth with this little guy and I can tell you it doesn’t really get easier. Your mind goes places far far away from your ‘daily routine’ and you start to feel awful helpless and insignificant.

Now, I don’t want to dwell on that stuff, believe me, I saw folks at the ER calmly shouldering burdens that I can scarcely imagine surviving at all. My prayers go out to each and every one of them.

Hayden pulled through just fine and the surgeon said it was a simple procedure that he’d recover from quickly. She was a real pro and kept us reassured that he’d be ok.

In fact, he was able to get in the bath last night and he cracked us up when he looked down at his scars (covered in that neat ’superglue’ that seals the wound perfectly) he said in astonishment "dat lady cut me all up!"

He had a smile on his face, but for the first time he got to see the red jagged lines that had been causing him so much discomfort.

Aimee and I were so happy that he was able to smile about his situation.

Today he was climbing all over the couch and he’s not needed the codeine for a whole day, so he’ll be getting back into his ‘Dennis the Menace’ routine in no time at all.

Throughout all this, I kept feeling blessed that we have the technology to identify (ultrasound) and fix (surgery) physical, mechanical problems like this with a high degree of success (certainly compared with past generations).

Yes, it is an experience I would not wish on any parent, but if you are going to go through something like this, at least you want to know the odds are that everything will be fine.

Needless to say, the week I had planned washed away in a sea of new concerns and ‘unscheduled’ priorities, as happens all too often in life. And I suppose the biggest thing I am grateful for next is that we’re blessed with a lifestyle that allowed me to take care of my family first without worrying about ‘losing my job’ or having enough money to deal with the unbudgeted expenses.

At the end of the day, this is what money is for, to give you resources to live your life, especially in the tough times.

Of course, in my personal opinion a higher power and faith has a lot more to do with getting through challenges in life and I’m comforted by the understanding that everything happens for a reason.

And I know from the emails I get and the people I met out at seminars and in forums that now is no time to take anything for granted.

I may have taken a week off to be with my family but there is another entrepreneur out there who spent this week debating whether to give up or not.

Many others are worried about all the time and money and energy that goes into their business efforts and they are still waiting for a real ‘return’ on their investment.

Too many are trying to manage irons in too many fires and are getting nowhere fast.

I know this, and if you’ve read my ecourse at MaverickMarketer.com you know I’ve been at ‘less than ground zero’ before, too and struggled there for many years.

That’s why I am dedicating my professional life to teaching others how to succeed in business because there is no greater joy for me than to see someone break free of the dehumanizing hamster wheel that so many around us are stuck in.

And the ‘info business’ is the greatest opportunity I know of for you to start and grow a richly rewarding and lucrative business because of the low start up costs and infinite opportunity.

But, with infinite opportunity comes a lot of choices and it is easy to get lost among the vast array of things you could do.

It’s the ‘trial and error’ do it yourself path that causes all the frustration and failure.

Here’s the bottom line: if you pick an opportunity that suits you and focus on one step after another until you get profitable results, you can do this just like many others have before you.

And once you’ve done it, the next one is easier, and the next even easier, and so it goes.

You’ll look back and wonder why you ever struggled once you have your first solid success.

That’s how the top marketers do it again and again. One success after another.

They make it look easy.

But that’s because they follow a proven formula.

And after reading some of my recent email with urgent requests for help with this, I’ve decided to do something about it and it won’t cost you a dime to benefit, just about 90 minutes of your time.

Next Wednesday I’m going to do a live with a gentleman who I believe has got this formula down cold and has used it to generate millions in sales and build himself a worldwide reputation.

We’re going to do something interactive that to my knowledge has never been done before (more on that in a minute).

I can’t wait!

Until then, let me give you a simple question to ask yourself about your business right now.

And the answer to this question will perhaps rock your world and set you on a path to success (or cause you to scrap what you are doing and choose a new path).

But you must be brutally honest with your answer or it means nothing.

Don’t just quickly blurt out the answer you want to hear. Dig deeper and you will be in a position to catapult your business forward.

Here’s the question to ask yourself out loud:

"Does anyone want to buy what I sell so bad that they stay awake at night thinking about it?"

If you felt a twinge or got defensive and said something like, "Everybody would want this if they just knew about it…" or something similiar justifying why you love what you are selling even if no one is buying… then please listen carefully.

Every entrepreneur I know who is struggling can trace their problems back to this simple, yet often ignored truth: if no one really wants what you are selling bad enough to give you money for it, you are doomed to frustration and heartbreak in your business.

I know, I’ve been there.

Correctly answering this question IS what separates my struggles of the past with my current blessed lifestyle.

Once you know the joy and exhilaration that comes with selling something that your market is truly hungry to buy, you’ll never again consider ‘marrying’ a product just because you ‘think’ people should buy it.

Sell what people are already buying.

Avoid being a pioneer unless you have deep pockets, patience, and the experience to make educated guesses about your market… and even then I’d still suggest sticking with a tried and true formula of selling what people already want.

You may scoff at this simple advice, but it truly is the first step to take for any new venture.

And you know what?

The number one email I get from subscribers who are desperate for a solution and frustrated to their wits end is that they want someone to just simply tell them step by step exactly what to do to make money.

So that’s what I’ve decided to do for you next Wednesday night with my special guest who’s literally a genius at laying out exactly what steps are involved in creating a killer product.

We’re going to develop, from just a basic idea, a killer info product live on the teleclass Wednesday night using the proven formula I’ve been talking about.

If you’re lost, suffering from information overload, or just want to know how to take your business to the next level, keep your eyes open for my next email Monday with all the details.

The call will be free even though we could easily justify charging admission for this call (we’ll explain the reason why we’re doing this.)

In fact, on Monday I’ll explain how there is a chance that we could go through, step by step, one of YOUR business ideas and turn it into a winner right on this call using this simple formula.

I’ve got to go for now. Hayden is going to wake up from his nap soon and I have some things to do first.

But I’ll tell you this before I go to sum up: I am grateful for the blessings my family has and this call is the next step I’m taking to help YOU achieve whatever goal and live whatever life YOU want to live.

There is opportunity in every crisis. There is not a day to waste wandering in the wilderness searching for your true path to success.

Opportunity to create the business that will fuel your dreams is all around you like never before.

It’s time to clear away the ‘info overload’ and all the distractions and follow a proven formula.

Watch for my email Monday for the rest of the details of this one of a kind teleclass on next Wednesday night at 9pm eastern.

All the best,

Craig

P.S. If you’ve been pulling your hair out in frustration, lost in a sea of ‘how to information’ on making money online, then you want to watch for my next email on Monday

…because I’m going to tell you how you can get FREE admission to an exclusive teleclass where I (and a very special guest) will develop a killer info product from scratch LIVE and reveal a formula YOU can use over and over again to make a fortune.

Bottom line: if you have the formula that we will break down step by step in this teleclass, I believe you will be able to finally create the infoproduct business you’ve been searching for (and the teleclass will be FREE).
