Got Butterflies Stuffed In YOUR Inbox?

by Craig Perrine

If you are in Online Marketing and have an email address, your Inbox is probably stuffed full of ‘Butterflies’ — or at least emails about Mike Filsaime’s course.

The heat (and hype) has been on, for sure.

In fact, Mike’s got a major bonus that expires today at midnight and I came up with a ‘look over my shoulder’ offer to watch me create a Butterfly site which has received rabid interest and will be pulled down tomorrow, Friday the 3rd at Midnight.

As a case study, it’s been a heck of thing to watch. Almost 800 copies flew off the shelves and the remaining 700 of the coveted first run are likely to be gone by Monday.

Well, if this were some overstuffed box of fluff CD’s and marketing junkfood, I’d be crying foul for sure.

But, as an early owner of the course and a good friend of Mike’s, I can tell you all the hype that assualted our inboxes like a Digital D-Day was just a distraction from the true value of the course.

If you knew what I do about how much went into the creation of this material and what it’s done for Mike, you’d already have a copy on it’s way to you.

But…

I’ve talked to several people who have decided to delete any email that says anything about ‘Butterfly’, and who could blame them? If they are not interested in building their list or viral marketing, then that makes sense.

As a Maverick Marketer, though, I encourage you to take a different approach.

Whether you decide personally to buy the course or not, you should study the site and Mike’s follow up marketing. He’s gone so far as to say HE’S a bit overwhelmed by all the hype.

If you do have the budget (at least for the $379 three month payment plan) and want to jump on my ‘look over my shoulder’ bonus package, then I’d do it today while you get the majority of Mike’s bonuses, too.

You might ask yourself why on earth I would agree to throw in so much of my time as a bonus for this promotion.

Well, here’s my thinking on that...

1) I know that Mike’s software and materials work… but I know that some may be shy about implementing it. So, I decided to document each step of MY own Butterfly site (yeah, that’s right, I’m using the same course) and I’m going to let YOU watch if you buy your copy from my link. I’m always preaching that it is easier to learn something if you have someone’s help, so this just made sense to me.

2) A lot of the offers I saw with bonuses were just half-baked collections of PDF’s with no direct relationship to Mike’s offer… and I wanted to offer a REAL bonus that would actually help you implement the Butterflies on YOUR site.

3) I know there is a lot of hype on launch day and I only rarely participate in these things because of the noiselevel involved. I’d prefer to not follow the crowd… so if anyone is paying attention, I thought I’d reward them with a super valuable bonus.

Now, if you are in no position to use a course on viral list building, don’t have any idea what all this is about, or can’t in any way afford the course easily… then please avoid all the excitement and perhaps take another look later if your situation changes.

The last thing anybody should do on a ‘launch day’ is over extend themselves to get something they are not going to use.

For a marketing lesson, though, this is a great case study… so go read the copy on the site… watch how Mike integrates proof and his personal story… and find out what he means by ‘ME Marketer’. It’s good stuff. (I especially liked the line where he said milk was going to shoot out of Michel Fortin’s nose… classic Maverick kind of line.)

Note: because so much traffic has hit his site, there have been times when he had to pull the video down because it was crashing his server. But go check out his site and see what you think… you’re sure to pick up some ideas for a site of your own.

Remember, if you do grab a copy of his course today, you’ll get Mike’s bonuses PLUS mine, described here.

All the best,

Craig

Hello my fellow Austinite,

Unbelievable you live in Austin, Ray McNally lives in Round Rock, and Marlon Sanders lives in San Antonio. WOW! I too like on th cliffs overlooking Lak Travis in Steiner Ranch. I hope to meet for breakfast or lunch sometime and I know your really close with Mike Fortin best man and all. I am a student of his and love his copy doctors course. Can you send me the link for the Tom Kulzer call please really want to hear that. I use them and Shawn (Tom’s 2nd in command I talk to all the time had some problems with MMG-Alex.Armands,Rick’s) new service. Which by the way is great if they get the bugs out. Are you going to Big Seminar in April? I was there in LA but unfortunetlyI didn’t know you lived in Austin found that out from context cash list.

Take care,

Texas Ben

Hi Craig,

I think your comments on the whole butterfly saga are the best I’ve read these last few weeks.

Yes, I am heartily sick of reading and hearing about butterflies and seeing the desperate scramble by people to own their ‘ticket to riches’.

I have to hold my hand out to Mike though, he’s really put together a brilliant marketing campaign and will in all likelyhood generate more money from it than he did in the whole of last year, and good luck to him too!

He has invested a LOT of time and effort into his product and IF the people who have bought it actually use it, I’m sure they will be able to generate a good income for themselves.

I myself will not be one of them, firstly I live in China and the investment is too high for me at this moment.

Take into account a conversion rate of $8.1 to the Chinese RMB and the fact that the average wage for most people here is not much more than $100 a month, then even a three monthly investment of “$300 and some change” (in reality that is much CLOSER to $400 per month!) is way too much for me.

I am sure that there are many other people who have a similar feeling when they convert the US$ into their own currencies!

Obviously the other side of the coin also applies, if we earn US$ and convert the $ into our local currencies then the $ goes a very long way.

The other reason I’m not going to buy is that all the hype for something often leaves me a little cold and it always becomes too easy to get caught up in the rush, not seeing the wood for the trees!

I would echo your advice that people should take a long hard look at their finances AND consider whether they will REALLY put everything into practice if they buy this product.

My fear is that a lot of people will put themselves into a financial hole on the ‘promise’ but not actually take action, then complain that it does not work.

If the only thing people get from this whole saga is an education on marketing and a stunning sales letter to learn from, then Mike has done a great job for everybody.

There is obviously a lot of value in what he’s put together, but like everything else knowledge has to be APPLIED to be effective.

If you can’t afford or justify the course look and learn, there are other ways to profit on the internet.

All the best,

Stuart Elliott

Craig,

We just purchased Mike’s course and are very much looking forward to the ability it will have in enabling us to touch more people. The possibilities are endless.
