It’s Valentines Day… So What IS Love, Anyway?

on February 14th, 2006

Have you ever woken up from a deep sleep with an idea burning in your head that just won’t let you sleep another minute?

That’s what happened to me this morning when I realized it was Valentines Day and I had not yet finished my card for my wife, Aimee. Now, as if that isn’t bad enough, my wife is an accomplished artist and she HAND PAINTED a card that she not only is giving to me… but so many people have loved it that she is sending a limited number of prints to our close friends and family.

Wow, I was under the gun.

If you want to find out what I did about it… and see the card image itself, go to…

This isn’t what I had planned on telling you about today… but I think it may just be more important anyway (you can probably wait another day or two to hear my strategies about blogs, right?)

As I am writing this, press releases are going out, my friends are mailing their subscribers… and the buzz is taking off.

Why? Because I’m asking the world to answer a pretty important question…

Find out what it is at HERE

Happy Valentines Day!

Landing Page Case Study…

on February 13th, 2006

I get a lot of questions about how to create an effective landing page.

What IS a landing page, you ask?

Well, when you send visitors to a website and you want them to opt in to your list, you want a single purpose web page called a landing page.

It can be simple or elaborate, and I’ve done a quick 8 minute video here of one of the best I’ve seen. It incorporates all the latest in what is working for opt in pages.

Check it out… (make sure your speakers are turned up)

Something Big This Way Comes…

on February 8th, 2006

I’ve got some big news that was announced today but, before I tell you about it I want to share a couple things.

I noticed that my book review post yesterday got a lot of traffic… and positive feedback. As I said then, reading is one of my favorite things to do and I’m always coming across interesting new books. At times, books can be life changing or open up whole new ideas for fun and profit… so let me know what you think of the books I review, Okay?

I also got a bunch of positive feedback (and some shocked folks who missed out), who noticed that I did in fact pull down my bonus page for Butterfly marketing Monday night.

Reason I mention that is if you are marketing to a list and have ‘deadlines’ that never actually happen, you’ll really damage your credibility with your readers. It’s one of those ‘little things’ that makes a big difference in relationship building.

I know a lot of people blow that stuff off, but a deadline should be a deadline, don’t you think?

Okay, now, on to my big news.

I didn’t know the site would be live so soon, but Armand Morin posted his next Big Seminar website today and you’ll see I’m listed as one of the speakers (I’m also in one of the video testimonials).

I hope you can clear your calendar for April 7 through 9th and be in Atlanta because…

I’ll be speaking on how to create profits over and over again with email marketing… along with new strategies I’ve never shared before.

You may not have heard of Big Seminar or Armand Morin before, but the bi-annual event has become THE Internet Marketing seminar to attend. If you’ve never been, it’s simply a breathtaking experience to be among 400+ successful and dead serious marketers.

I’ve been at 5 of the 6 Big’s to date and I’d say the people I’ve met, the strategies I’ve learned, the late night chats at the bar over drinks, and all the friendships have been a major contributor to my success in this industry.

Heck, most of the people I interviewed for my last course (which did a six figure plus launch) I met at Big Seminar… think about that.

The last Big Seminar was November 2005 in Los Angeles and it was the best yet…

If there is one thing I know about Armand, he out does himself each time (along with a crack team of folks who make each seminar run like a Swiss watch).

I walked away from that event with a stack of business cards that has been worth over $74,000 to me… so far, in contracts and JV’s…. and I’m not done yet.

Was it worth a couple grand to go, learn, have some drinks, and network? You bet.

Which brings me to my point… and I may get a little ‘preachy’ here for a minute… if you haven’t been to a live event in Internet Marketing (specifically a Big Seminar), then you have not had the chance to meet some of the most amazing people in our industry.

Seriously, everyone who you would want to meet is going to be there.

Each time I go it’s like a reunion with my dearest friends… and to underscore that point, I’m now Michel Fortin’s Best Man at his wedding this summer… and we first met at Big Seminar 2.

Mike Filsaime… yes, met him at Big Seminar, too.

I don’t have to keep going… you pick a name of a successful Internet Marketer and I’ll bet he or she has been to at least ONE Big Seminar.

Let’s put it this way, JV’s happen a lot easier and quicker when you can meet someone face to face than they do if you sit at home and send out emails or call people.

Networking can catapult your business, literally, too the next level. All it takes is ONE business card from the right person.

As you’ll see on Armand’s site in my video testimonial, I committed to bringing as many of my subscribers as possible to the next Big Seminar because I hardly promoted it last time and I felt bad for not making a bigger deal of it.

I’m not making that mistake again this time.

I haven’t decided what I’m going to offer yet as an incentive to go to Atlanta as my guest, but I’m cooking something big up (along the lines of a private VIP Mastermind… since that was so popular last time).

But I do know a few things for sure…

1) There are only 500 seats and 298 are already gone… and the site is just live today. Given the buzz about the last one and the size of Armand’s list alone, I would expect the remaining seats to vanish early this time. The hotel is booked, and the fire marshalls will prevent more than 500 people in that room. It’s a cold hard fact.

2) Armand is offering serious bonuses for early ticket buyers... so now is the time to check this out.

3) There will be an invaluable series of preview calls with the speakers prior to the event… and you will get a fantastic education simply by listening in… if you sign up at this page, you’ll be kept in the loop on times and dates for each one…. and you’ll be eligible for MY bonuses that I’ll be announcing soon.

Here’s the thing… This event isn’t for everybody.

While I have a ton I want to tell you about it, I’m only going to dig deeper into the powerful learning and networking opportunities available at live seminars with people in my VIP Seminar Mastermind.

See, there was a time I had no interest in going to live events.

I couldn’t afford the tuition, the travel, or the time away from work. And I didn’t want to hear how lucrative the networking and cutting edge content is (looking back, I think that was a mistake, but it was the truth).

So, if you are interested in Live events…, now or in the future, I’m starting a VIP Seminar list where I will share the insights I’ve learned. I’ll go into detail about each seminar I’m speaking at and what I feel are the biggest opportunities there for your business and your rolodex.

I’ll share networking strategies, and for those who join me at these seminars, I’ll make sure we get to meet and introduce you around to people you want to meet.

That way, I can focus on my regular content here on this blog… and focus on the live events with the VIP Seminar list members.

Understand that what speakers talk about at seminars is usually 6 months ahead of what is available in ebooks and courses on the market. So in a way, if you don’t get to the live events, you end up being behind the curve all the time.

For example, I’ve known about podcasting since late 2004… when most didn’t hear about it until mid 2005 or later.

As you can tell, live events are important to me… and I’m really looking forward to Big Seminar 7 in Atlanta. It truly is the Seminar of Seminars.

If you want to join me and be a part of that experience, put your name on the VIP Seminar list to hear all about what’s in store for you there.

P.S. I’m still working on posting the video I’ve been talking about… so watch for that by Friday.
