Curious about Adsense? Finally a book that legitimately ‘crack’s the code’

on May 23rd, 2006

If you’re curious about Google’s Adsense program that pays you every time someone clicks on a special link on your website… read on.

Much, much too much hype surrounds Adsense because folks pitch it as a way to get ‘free money’ from Google (they’ve paid out $6 billion so far!).

The idea is that you put small, unobtrusive text ads (and now video, too) on websites you own… and when people click on those ads, Google pays YOU per click.

Now you can literally make money from sites where there is just content, and nothing for sale.

There are a LOT of ways to make this work… if you know what you’re doing.

But, many of the strategies people promote to cash in on Google’s lucrative program are pipe dreams at best… and scams in some cases.

Not only that, but even HOW the ads are placed on your site (and the color of the font, background, etc.) makes a big difference in whether you make any real money or not.

For this reason, I was a little slow to get into Adsense, focusing instead on email marketing and Joint ventures.

As I’ve said many times before, the technical stuff isn’t my favorite part of Internet marketing and Adsense seemed to be a bit over my head.

Then, a couple of my friends (who make big fat checks each month) inspired me to take a closer look and get started.

As I feared, much of the information I found was of the ‘get rich quick’ variety and lacked real credibility or track record to back up the breathless claims some of these folks were making.

But last year at Big Seminar in Los Angeles I met a guy who was getting all sorts of praise from folks who had read his ebook on Adsense. We hit it off and have become friends… and we’ve spoken at a few of the same seminars now, too, because the word is out that he knows what he’s talking about.

His name is Joel Comm and his new book, ‘The Adsense Code‘, is selling like hot cakes today (it’s in the top 5 sellers now as I write this) because people are hungry to learn his simple, no BS approach to Adsense profits.

My friend Joel Comm is a widely recognized Adsense expert and he’s launching his new book, ‘The Adsense Code’ today…

That means you can scoop up his book for less than $16 bucks while he showers you with close to $5,000 in meaty and valuable bonuses.

Joel is no stranger to the Internet… one of his sites was bought by Yahoo back in the 90’s and he’s truly cracked the code for getting traffic to his sites and monetizing it with Adsense and other strategies. And, quite frankly, I think he’s forgotten more about Google and Adsense than I’ll ever know.

He’s put his knowledge to very profitable use…

Oh, and by the way…

If you’ve heard about some of the ’sketchy’ strategies that some people are using to get bigger checks from Google’s Adsense program… and the harsh way that Google deals with offenders who break the rules… fear not.

Joel’s book is about how to build a long term business based on the ‘Code’ he cracked that falls perfectly within Google’s own rules.

And yet… the stuff he showed you can actually dramatically increase your Adsense checks very quickly.

There’s no need to use risky ‘black hat’ strategies to follow Joel’s Code… and you don’t have to be a super geek to figure his book out (Joel’s strategies are very clearly laid out in plain English).

I highly recommend that if you have any interest at all in making real money from Adsense, grab a copy of Joel’s book today for pocket change and get a ton of bonuses that are targeted to help you start making money online with Adsense.

The bonuses are available today if you go to Joel’s launch page and use the Amazon link there to order… it’s at: http://www.theadsensecode.com.

All the best,

Craig

If you’re just starting out online… check this out

on May 18th, 2006

I get email almost daily from folks who are just starting out online… right at square one (or going in circles very NEAR square one)

Like yesterday, I got this email after I posted the pic of my RV… I didn’t get his permission to post his name, so I’ll just post what he said…

"Craig,

Can you help me shorten the learning curve to
being successful in IM. I really need/want to make
it happen fast!

name withheld"

Now, I wrote my Seven Secrets ecourse with the absolute beginner in mind… and my mission is to help you shorten your learning curve… and I get tons of great feedback from that ecourse because it will help you get off on the right foot.

Fact is, there are more steps involved in getting your business going online… and much of what holds people back is the nitty gritty stuff like how to build a website, how to post it online, and how to research a niche that will be profitable in the first place.

The learning curve — especially for non- techies (like me) — can be daunting and expensive.

And, if you don’t have a clue what you are doing, you can sure waste a lot of time figuring it out by yourself.

I’m sure I’m not telling you anything new there :)

So today I want to tell you about a success story… and a resource for you to consider if you are starting at square one.

I wish I could have told you about this a few days ago because there is a fairly short fuse here to check this out, but my crazy travel schedule has put me a bit behind the 8 ball on this one.

My friend Stephen Beck and his family are an inspiring story… He ran a contractor business for 20 years and decided one day to tell his lovely wife Kerry that he was going to quit all that and go start an online business.

Can you imagine that… with two lovely daughters and a fine young son to feed… Surely not an easy decision to make and a bold move in any case.

Well, last year I met Stephen at Big Seminar in LA and he invited me to speak at his seminar and I got to see first hand that he’d not only succeeded, but he’d developed a following… especially in the home schooling community.

And this week, he is launching his course that details step by step how to get your first business online.

Unlike many launches, which have a limit to the number of courses to be sold… Stephen has an entirely different, real world, deadline… this Sunday at midnight.

Why?

Because he’s entering his second year of Seminary and he’s committed to completing the 7 thousand plus pages he’s responsible for mastering.

Starting next Monday, he’s got to read 500 pages a week… and we’re not talking comic books here.

So there’ll be no ’speed reading’.

One of the things I find most inspiring about the Beck’s is their balance between family, faith and their business success.

I know you may be looking for a solid resource to learn the basics of getting your business online… and because of the Sunday deadline for his launch we didn’t have time to do a live teleseminar… but this morning I got Stephen on the phone for 45 minutes and interviewed him about what he’s offering.

We covered…

* how to get started… and pick the right niche for you

* how to master the technical aspect of Internet Marketing

* how to find the TIME to build your business

* how to build a community within your niche

* what makes Stephen’s course unique…

If you are interested in starting an Internet business, especially if you want to learn from someone who’s not only succeeded, but also managed to involve his family and maintain his dedication to his Seminary work… I posted the interview for you right here to listen to.

If you’re starting out at square one… I think this is a course you should take a close look at… before Sunday’s deadline.

Click ‘Play’ to hear me interview Stephen Beck (45 min)

You can also take a look at the website that details everything he’s included in his audio and video course here…

Here’s to your success… and remember… the example that Stephen has set shows you that it is possible to go from wherever you are to a full time online business… real people are doing this. So if you are struggling… take inspiration from Stephen’s story.

How to leave your ‘Inner Loser’ behind… and travel the ‘road trip’ to success

on May 17th, 2006

Of all the things I’ve posted about on this blog… my big truck and my RV road trip this summer have gotten the most fun feedback.

I’ve had a ton of emails from fellow RV fans… so as promised I’m posting the pictures of my new RV.

It arrived yesterday… 5 hours early… from a dealer in Michigan that I found on eBay. If you are in the market for an RV, let me know. I am very happy with the folks I found.

As you can see… the 38 foot RV and the truck appear to be bigger than my house and SUV combined.

Yeah, I actually bought something on wheels that is bigger than my Ford F250 truck… believe it or not.

This is a ‘toy hauler’ RV which means that the back opens up as a ramp that leads to a 12 foot garage. You’re supposed to put motorcycles and stuff in there… but we ordered a custom model that has two queen size bunk beds that retract up to the ceiling when not in use. It’s air conditioned and heated back there, so the kids will use the garage in the RV as their playroom since we don’t have any motorcycles (yet :) ).

Over the garage is a queen size loft… which my two older boys (Sam, 14, Ethan, 9) are already fighting over.

In the middle there’s a spacious livingroom and kitchen with a table that I’ll be using for my laptop while we’re on the road this summer. That’s right… I’ll be posting to this blog, hopefully with video and audio from the trip.

The master bedroom is up front… in another room. This thing will sleep 12 comfortably (if they all get along).

We’re hitting the road around the 26th of May… after I speak at my last workshop this weekend.

That’s right… you won’t see me on stage again until the fall… I’m going underground to finish up some projects I’ve been hinting at… that I’ll tell you about soon.

These last few weeks have been super crazy… with me speaking at a different seminar each weekend… and one weekend where I spoke saturday at one event in Austin and another in Atlanta the next morning.

Both events were awesome… (Pat OBryan’s Unseminar and The Next Level Promoters event with Armand Morin, Heather Seitz and Debra Thompson).

This past weekend in Dallas I spoke at the No Limits Seminar put on by Robert Puddy and Richard Taylor… and as with their first seminar last November, this one was well worth attending. The hotseats alone were worth the ticket price.

It’s been a crazy 8 weeks and I could go on and on about each event… starting with the alwasy incredible Big Seminar 7 and the AM2 Platinum meeting I went to in late April… though right now it’s all blurring together in my mind. Stories for another time.

Right now I want to brag on a book that I contributed a chapter to that is launching today.

I’m so honored to be in a book with names like Joe Vitale, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn and Denis Waitley (among many other amazing authors).

Take a look at ‘101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life’ by David Riklan

I’ve dragged my advance copy with me and read it at every chance. It’s dog eared and full of underlined passages with notes on the side… Each author has had a message for me… something I either didn’t know before, or had not fully considered yet… or something I needed to be reminded of again.

See, this whole RV trip and the changes that have happened in my life over the last few years are as much because of ’self growth’ as they are about marketing successes.

There have been many times in my life that I simply would not have been able to imagine the life I’m leading…

My parents divorced… yet I’ve been with my wife now for ten years.

Our house is fully twice the size the first one we lived in when we got together… and that RV in front is bigger than my first apartment.

I’ve never been in a position to take off 4 plus weeks with my family… and yet in less than ten days that is exactly what I’m going to do.

I say this because while I’ve been on a bumpy path of self improvement since at least the age of 15 when I met Tony Robbins at an awesome summer camp called Supercamp in 1985… on some level I don’t think I truly understood how much my life could change until this RV trip.

I had to see it to believe it…

If you wait to see proof before you believe something, however, that is a much slower way to change than to believe what you want is possible first and THEN watch for the change to manifest itself.

The culprit that makes us hold back and be so skeptical of change is a little voice inside each of us that I’ve named ‘The Inner Loser’.

While well meaning, this little voice is the voice of fear, of playing life safe so you don’t lose… but playing ‘not to lose’ is a lot different than ‘playing to win’.

Too often we are faced with an opportunity to reach for the next level or taste happiness and we shy away, fearing that the unknown will bring something worse than what we already are comfortable with.

Many confuse the ‘Inner Loser’ voice of fear with ‘Intuition’, that quiet voice we often won’t listen to… even though it is your Intuition that is divinely inspired and can take you anywhere you wish to go in life.

The trick is knowing and feeling the difference between the two voices… and that’s exactly what I talk about in my chapter in ‘101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life’ by David Riklan.

Personally, I think that if you are currently letting your life be run by your Inner Loser… it won’t really matter how much you learn about marketing online (or anywhere else) because that little voice of fear will shout out any breakthrough opportunity you come across.

Back in the 90’s, I read a lot of the ‘gloom and doom’ experts that said the US economy was going to collapse in 1995 and that the stock market was due for a major crash. I believed them wholeheartedly.

Well, those same ‘experts’ got to be ‘right’ when the stock market did sell off in 2000 to 2002… but I missed out on 6 years of the greatest bull market in US history because I listened to them and my Inner Loser and I waited for the crash.

Sure, I made great money as a day trader for those years… but I could have made a fortune simply by investing in a mutual fund, too.

It still makes me ill to think of missing what could be the greatest market move of my entire life to this day.

And that’s just one example of a big loss I took in my business because of listening to the voice of fear instead of taking chances and going for it.

Your Inner Loser is just like those stock market experts… no matter how much good you miss out on by sitting life ‘out’, the next time something bad happens that you avoided the Inner Loser will take credit for ‘protecting you’… and you’ll believe it, too.

Until you are aware of this ‘Inner Loser’ and take charge… your life go around and around in circles… like a ‘merry-go-round’ of misery.

So, while I continue to feed my brain all the marketing info I can stuff in my head… I also make sure I learn as much as I can about myself and what makes ME tick so I can be ready for the opportunities and challenges that come along in this journey through life.

Every new level I achieve comes with it’s own barriers that come up for me… and I have to break through them to continue moving forward.

And what I’ve discovered is this:

Wherever you are at in your climb to the next level of your success… 90% of what is holding you back is yourself.

Same is true for me… for anyone. That is basically how you can explain the reason some are successful in spite of all odds… while others, with as many or more natural gifts, are stuck as couch potatos watching other people’s lives on ‘Reality TV’ while complaining that their life sucks.

There are many out there claiming to have the answer… and I suggest you sample different authors and dig deeper with those who you relate to.

You may find the perfect mentor for you… and fill in a missing key to something about yourself that is holding you back.

With that said… I suggest you grab a copy of David Riklan’s latest book because he’s drawn on his own tremendous success and pulled together a wonderful selection of authors for you to feed your brain what really works.

There are 101 different voices for you to sample right in this book… including my chapter on how to handle your Inner Loser.

To top it all off… the book is an incredible deal so definitely consider getting multiple copies for friends and family, too.

Go to: http://www.maverickmarketer.com/innerloser and you’ll also get $1,500 in REAL bonuses that those who buy this book in stores will miss out on.

And if perhaps your ‘Inner Loser’ tries to talk you out of getting a copy… buy two just to show who’s in charge of your life :)
