Do you know what the weakest link in your Internet business is?

On Valentines day my wife Aimee launched a fun ecard that she’d worked very hard to get ready in time.

And… most of my list and her list didn’t ever see it.

Why?

Because I discovered to my horror that all of my sites, including Aimee’s, were down when it was time to launch.

Actually, they were up, then down, then up, then down, about every 10 minutes.

I felt like a crazy person. Each time I opened a support ticket with my host I then had to write back and say the site was up… and then it was back down.

Turns out… a very specific, and sloppy, error had caused my sites to play ‘hide and seek’ like that.

When I pushed, my host did a ‘temporary’ fix, which I found out would ultimately cause the problem to pop up again sometime.

They tried to pass it off as a closed ticket.

So I fired them… and went through the painful process of migrating all of my sites in a rush.

We lost over a week to downtime.

Aimee was deeply disappointed. Weeks of her work went down the drain.

And I was stunned… I had several dedicated servers with that host for almost 4 years without any big problem… poof. Up in smoke.

My assumption cost Aimee her Valentines Day launch.

I’m bringing this up because as a fellow online marketer, the one thing that supports everything you do is… your webhost.

It’s your weakest link…

You can have stellar copy on your salesletter, tons of traffic, JV partners lined up far and wide, and an amazing product that everyone wants… and be out of business if your webhost fails you.

Problem is, you most likely won’t know your host sucks until Murphy’s law kicks in and your site goes down at precisely the worst time, as Aimee discovered.

No one is immune to this…

Even the biggest, most successful marketers have learned this lesson the hard way.

During many big ‘launches’ the sites simply crash and literally hundreds of thousands of dollars are lost as eager buyers can’t get to the site to order.

My friend Mike Filsaime almost lost $500,000 in just such a situation when he launched Butterfly Marketing last year.

You need to be informed in your choice of hosts because, frankly, all their offers look the same.

And oddly, most hosts have no understanding of what Internet Marketers need… so you have to be very choosy where you host your sites.

I could go on and on about this crucial issue, but Mike Filsaime has released a free audio interview that will get you up to speed in a hurry.

I’ve posted a link to it here…

Mike’s also arranged for a pretty sweet deal for you at his own hosting company… well worth considering.

Whatever you do… don’t fall asleep at the wheel like I did and assume your host is good just because nothing is happening…

The question is, will they be there when you need them?

Mike’s interview will help you answer that question for yourself.

Here’s that link again…
