My Answer to a Internet Marketing “Newbie” Question…
New to Internet marketing?
Then I’m sure you can relate to this great question I got this morning.
I hear this all the time so I thought I would post it for everyone to benefit from the answer.
"Craig…
I am so much a newbie to internet marketing that I can not follow anything. Are you telling me this launch of Armand’s can turn me into an internet market..teer? at least, a functioning one? I really am only 10% computer literate. Please respond : so , that I might be comfortable investing in this launch.
thanks"
Thank you for the great question.
The concern that is unspoken in this question is ‘how to pick the right information’ from all the choices out there.
If you’ve been learning Internet marketing you’ve no doubt come across a ZILLION different ebooks, audios, courses, seminars, and membership sites that all promise to show you the path to riches. And hey, there is a new ‘gotta have it’ product launch every other week, so believe me, I know what the challenge is you are facing.
Who and what do you pay attention to??? I’m sure you don’t have an unlimited budget to invest in your Internet marketing education, so I’d like to help you select the right resources. You sure don’t have unlimited TIME, so you have to choose carefully.
Since I’ve been in direct marketing since the late eighties and online since 2002 I can give you a pretty good perspective.
The reason I told you about Armand’s ebook ‘An Obvious Truth’ in the first place was because I endorse him and his material.
If you’ve been on my list for a while or have gone through my free ecourse, you know I’m not a guy who pimps every launch and product out there.
Heck, I broke 6 months of silence on this blog to tell you about this because I feel strongly that it is the most comprehensive course out there on Internet marketing… (that’s not to say nothing else was any good during that time, but this I had to tell you about).
Listen, as I said the other day, I continually invest in education. And I encourage you to do so SELECTIVELY, too.
That means, don’t buy something just because it is launching with a lot of fan fare… but because it meets a need in your business or you are ready to update your knowledge.
Buying everything that comes at you is a HUGE mistake that people make… so the question remains. How do you decide?
Well, I see it as one of my ways I can be of service to you is to give you my perspective and filter out stuff I know is junk or hype and that’s why I only tell you about a select few things anyway.
Let me give you my perspective…
I own a pre-release version of Armand’s new course, Internet Marketing Explained and as a veteran marketer I can tell you it’s been an invaluable resource to me. The measurement I use with this is if I learn just ONE thing that makes me more money in my business, then the course was worth it.
And in Armand’s case… that’s a complete no brainer.
If I were starting out today and it was within my budget to get Armand’s new course, I would absolutely get it… and like I said, even if you are not just starting out, there is something for you in this course that will make you more money.
How do I know that?
Because Armand doesn’t hold anything back… he teaches what works… and he started from scratch and built a company that generated $15 MILLION last year online.
That’s why I choose to learn from Armand… he has proven himself and is a straight shooter.
It’s like this… if you met Armand at a seminar and found out he makes $15,000,000 a year online, you KNOW you’d be PRAYING he’d talk to you for as long as possible and give you some secret to his success.
Well, Armand did just that… he put 56 hours of content into well organized, detailed, step by step break down of exactly how he markets online TODAY (not stuff that used to work that doesn’t anymore) and is handing it to you on a silver platter.
You can go through it from start to finish… or use it as a instant answer resource to answer whatever question you have today and just go to the relevant section.
Either way… the way I look at it we’ve all got an advantage over Armand when he started because this kind of information wasn’t available back in 1996 when he began.
Fact is… this is all just my opinion based on my first hand experience with Armand as a friend and mentor over many years.
To me, it’s a no brainer. But it really doesn’t matter what I think… this is about YOU.
Will his course help YOU?
There is a real simple way for you to find out if this is for you or not at this time.
Click HERE and opt in if you haven’t already because Armand has put up 12 FREE videos you can watch.
(First, you’ll watch his Relaunch Video, which is cool… but after you opt in you’ll be redirected to the training videos.)
He is giving away SOLID content that you can use in your business today… and at the same time you get a sample of how Armand teaches.
If you get value out of that, imagine how good the whole course is!
If you don’t, then move on.
It’s that easy
Like I said the other day, Internet marketing can be easy… see if this is what you’re looking for to help you in your business.
Go check it out and let me know what you think.

Craig,
Great post and thanks for your explanation. I had originally blown this off and was debating if SMARTS (StomperNet) or Kern’s new deal were worth it as well. As you know I have made the mistake of buying too much stuff and the wrong “stuff”. But I value your endorsement, and well give his videos a go.

Craig….thank you for your reply concerning the newbie question. If I understood you correctly, someone who has never sold a single thing on the net ; can, in fact, be starting from a good place with Arman’s launch. Is my understanding correct?
Thank you,
Clay

Craig,
Your advice is great! Armand is a great guy and I would buy his course in a heartbeat if I had not just joined several intensive coaching programs.
Another important thing to consider when deciding what courses or coaching programs to invest in is this - what is the right fit for your personality? If you are the kind of person who is going to open up a box and dive in and digest everything in there, then “business in a box courses” are a great fit. If, however, you are easily distracted by too many things to do, then I would make sure that there is some type of coaching component to keep you feeling accountable. I
have invested over $40,000 in training seminars, coaching programs, ebooks, home study courses & “business in a boxes”. I started my first online business in 1997 and went into “internet retirement” from 2004 until late 2007.
There is a lot of stuff out there and it is all very tempting! I cannot tell you how many ebooks there are on my hard drive that have never been read, how many CDs and DVDs never listened to. Not that these would not have been a perfect fit for someone else, but with my personality, having a coaching component is critical. That is not true for everyone.
Robert, just a note about SMARTS, I joined and even though it is not launching until next Monday, we have been given assignments everyday starting last Saturday for that course. This is a perfect fit for me for that reason and also because I am just starting with social networking and it is critically important to the projects I am currently working on.
Just make sure that whatever you buy is something you need and will actually use! Here’s to your success!

Hey Robert, as always, I appreciate your comments. For the purposes of getting a ‘newbie’ going in the right direction I feel real good recommending Armand’s IME course.

Clay,
Yes, you understood exactly. The value specifically to someone just getting started is the comprehensive, start at the beginning nature of Armand’s IME course… he literally covers everything from list building, blogs, graphics, buying websites, traffic, teleseminars, email, design and business model… it’s all there.
And… Armand knows how to teach and lay things out so they make sense and you know what the next step to take is.
Everyone seems to be looking for one place to get a coherent, consistent message on what to do and Armand has done just that… updated for what’s working today.
Thanks for the question!

Juliet,
You make a great point… even though Armand’s put everything out there in step by step fashion, you still have to take action and implement what you learn.
I’m generally skeptical of ‘business in a box’ offers where it is supposedly a turnkey business that is the same product and tools everyone who buys it gets… and I think we’d both agree on that.
At your level, where you already have a successful track record online and years of experience, the SMART program should work real well for you.
My big concern for ‘newbies’ is that they get conflicting advice and don’t know what to do NEXT… or FIRST… and that is exactly where Armand’s material shines.
Thanks!!

Craig,
I agree Armand puts out nothing but top quality products. Do you recommend this program for someone who has been studying internet marketing for a while, knows the fundamentals but still isn’t making a lot of money online? I’m finally starting to make some money online after 2 years but I want to earn at least 6 figures online this year.
Thanks

A big concern for the newbies of internet marketing would be, to get conflicting advices. It makes them confused and they will not be able to decide of what to do and what not to do. Good advice craig.

Hey Ted… Most definitely. I’ve seen it over and over again in Armand’s coaching program, AM2, where folks will dramatically boost their income because they got whatever missing pieces were holding them back handled. It’s a step by step, every piece explained course… so just flip to the part where you’re needing growth and you’ll find what Armand would recommend for that piece. Then, you’ll probably find other areas you can expand that you may not have thought of… great question.

Craig,
I hope my comment wasn’t confusing to anyone. I spent time hanging out with Armand at several conferences years ago and I wholeheartedly respect him as a person, teacher, product creator, & marketer and would not hesistate to recommend his course or anything else he produces in a heartbeat! (He is also a great karaoke singer!) I just wanted to add some additional info about considering one’s personality type when deciding what to buy in general.
Craig, I think it is great that you do not pitch everyone’s product that comes along. Way too many “marketers” kill their long-term relationships with people that way. Short-term gain is not worth the loss of long-term relationships regarding impacting your bank account or more importantly your reputation. Keep up the good work!
