What is the “Obvious Truth” about Internet Marketing for 2008?

on January 10th, 2008

After a LOOOONG 6 month absence from this blog I’m back and I’ve got something for you that could really make your 2008 great.

I’ve been getting emails asking me where have I been?

Well, in 2007 I focused on projects outside the Internet Marketing world, including starting a publishing company that launched a best selling book and co-authoring a book with Dr. Joe Vitale called Inspired Marketing (coming out soon from John Wiley & Sons).

But after enough people came up to me at seminars asking where I’ve been, that they missed my emails and blog posts, I decided to get back to blogging here again. (Look for a redesign of the look and feel as well as a bunch of new stuff coming soon).

What got me to post today after 6 months of silence?

The new year… and specifically, a ‘profitable tough love’ report my good friend Armand Morin just released called, An Obvious Truth (you can download it here… no opt in or anything).

If you know who who Armand is… just download it now. Enough said.

If you don’t… let me explain why I think this report is such a big deal… and so relevant to you now.

See, most readers of this blog want to use the Internet to start or grow a business — and most are pretty confused about how to do that.

The feedback I get from readers is that they’re stuck going around in circles in their online business because it seems like there are a million and one things to learn and every day someone’s trying to sell you the next big thing…

(What cracks me up these days is everyone is trying to sell ‘Web 2.0′ stuff… and the majority of people I’ve talked with still haven’t figured out ‘Web 1.0′!)

Here’s the Truth that Armand lays out in his report… (and a lot of folks peddling hype and BS are looking pretty silly right now): Internet Marketing is actually easy.

The majority of products and courses on Internet marketing (IM) that I see launched are distractions… which is one reason why I hardly ever recommend you buy anything.

Don’t get me wrong… I buy software, ebooks, courses, go to seminars, and have my own mentors and coaches that I work with… but I am very selective of who I choose to learn from.

Armand is one of my long time mentors and he’s also become a great friend.

I know, in the Internet Marketing world everyone says, "My good friend so and so is launching bla, bla, bla today" and by ‘good friend’ they mean, ‘Joint Venture Partner’ ;)

But if you go back on this blog to like 2005 you’ll see I’ve posted about Armand many times… and that’s because he’s the real deal and a real friend.

Download ‘An Obvious Truth‘ right now and read it today.

Here’s 5 reasons you should stop what you are doing and get his report now:

1) Armand went from no Internet experience to pulling in $15 million this year and has 10 years of success online under his belt. That makes him a great guide to lead you from beginner to big time success, don’t you think? (I even feature him in our upcoming book, Inspired Marketing…)

2) An Obvious Truth strips away all the BS and shows you a simple, step by step path to follow for 2008. It’s about time someone did, too!!!

3) This report has more powerful content than most ebooks on Clickbank. Most ‘reports’ are weak, thinly disguised salesletters… but this is solid action steps you can follow today (otherwise I wouldn’t be telling you about it).

4) I pay thousands each year to attend Armand’s seminars and be a part of his Platinum AM2 program because I have profited handsomely from his teaching. Hey, I read the report and I got a ton out of it… so I’m confident you will too.

5) He can teach… his methods are easy to understand… and you’ll ‘get it’. What he teaches is NOT rocket science… in fact, he’s got a knack for keeping it simple that I admire.

And that’s my point.

The truth about Internet marketing is that it’s simple… it is all the hype and distractions from the Obvious Truth that keeps people going around in circles.

If you’re serious about making your online marketing efforts a profitable business instead of a hobby, I’ve posted a copy here for you to download… right click here! It’s free, you don’t even have to opt in.

Here’s to your success in 2008… stay tuned… it’s gonna be GREAT!

How YOU can be a best seller…

on May 29th, 2007

You may remember a couple weeks ago I published a best selling book through Maverick Book Company.

I got a flood of emails asking me how we did it… and got a ton of manuscripts to look at.

I’m still going through them, and there are some great books there.

But a lot of them are a LONG way from ever getting published or sold online.

I wish I could reply personally and help everyone fix up their books, but I simply don’t have enough time.

So I thought I’d write today and share what I believe is the best path to follow… not only to get published, but to get you started online, too.

Start with an ebook…

It can take 6 to 12 months to get a print book published… but, you can create an ebook in days or weeks.

Plus, unlike a print book which has to be proof read to death before going to press… an ebook can be changed instantly at any time because it’s always digital.

And, the profit margin on an ebook is much higher since the cost of printing is zippo.

I’m talking the difference between making a couple bucks as the author per print book versus making 100% of $29, $39 or even $97 or more!

That means you can get some dough rolling in quickly.

And…

Don’t you think a publisher will be more eager to give you a shot if your ebook is already proven in the marketplace?

As a publisher, I can tell you the answer is a big ‘YES’.

It is a LOT easier to create an ebook than you may realize, and you don’t have to be a hot shot ‘writer’ either.

Once you have your ebook, you’re an author, which will help you gain credibility and open doors for you, too.

Now, I don’t have time in this email to lay out all the best ways to create an ebook.

But, my dear friend Bill Hibbler, an authority on ebooks and a best selling author, has all the answers waiting for you.

He walks you through EVERY step of his proven system.

Here’s my offer…

If you go through Bill’s program, I’m confident you’ll have a good book with real market potential.

So… go through Bill’s program and I’ll give your ebook priority consideration for publishing as a physical book when you’re ready.

I can do that because I know there are only 20 (or less) spots left for Bill’s program, so I won’t get swamped.

That’s a win win for both of us.

I’m looking for authors with great books, and Bill’s got the perfect program with my 100% endorsement.

If you’re sitting on an idea for an ebook or a dream of becoming an author, now’s your chance.

I will be surprised if Bill repeats this course any time soon.

Do you know what the weakest link in your Internet business is?

on April 12th, 2007

On Valentines day my wife Aimee launched a fun ecard that she’d worked very hard to get ready in time.

And… most of my list and her list didn’t ever see it.

Why?

Because I discovered to my horror that all of my sites, including Aimee’s, were down when it was time to launch.

Actually, they were up, then down, then up, then down, about every 10 minutes.

I felt like a crazy person. Each time I opened a support ticket with my host I then had to write back and say the site was up… and then it was back down.

Turns out… a very specific, and sloppy, error had caused my sites to play ‘hide and seek’ like that.

When I pushed, my host did a ‘temporary’ fix, which I found out would ultimately cause the problem to pop up again sometime.

They tried to pass it off as a closed ticket.

So I fired them… and went through the painful process of migrating all of my sites in a rush.

We lost over a week to downtime.

Aimee was deeply disappointed. Weeks of her work went down the drain.

And I was stunned… I had several dedicated servers with that host for almost 4 years without any big problem… poof. Up in smoke.

My assumption cost Aimee her Valentines Day launch.

I’m bringing this up because as a fellow online marketer, the one thing that supports everything you do is… your webhost.

It’s your weakest link…

You can have stellar copy on your salesletter, tons of traffic, JV partners lined up far and wide, and an amazing product that everyone wants… and be out of business if your webhost fails you.

Problem is, you most likely won’t know your host sucks until Murphy’s law kicks in and your site goes down at precisely the worst time, as Aimee discovered.

No one is immune to this…

Even the biggest, most successful marketers have learned this lesson the hard way.

During many big ‘launches’ the sites simply crash and literally hundreds of thousands of dollars are lost as eager buyers can’t get to the site to order.

My friend Mike Filsaime almost lost $500,000 in just such a situation when he launched Butterfly Marketing last year.

You need to be informed in your choice of hosts because, frankly, all their offers look the same.

And oddly, most hosts have no understanding of what Internet Marketers need… so you have to be very choosy where you host your sites.

I could go on and on about this crucial issue, but Mike Filsaime has released a free audio interview that will get you up to speed in a hurry.

I’ve posted a link to it here…

Mike’s also arranged for a pretty sweet deal for you at his own hosting company… well worth considering.

Whatever you do… don’t fall asleep at the wheel like I did and assume your host is good just because nothing is happening…

The question is, will they be there when you need them?

Mike’s interview will help you answer that question for yourself.

Here’s that link again…
